After graduating from TU Munich with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I was looking for a new challenge. This search brought me to the PhD programme of the BMW Group. After more than three exciting, varied and challenging years, I was able to complete my doctorate and take over the management of projects in the area of Machine Learning and Deep Learning. As part of the Digital Hub, we use emerging technologies to automate the development processes in the areas of car body, interior and exterior while at the same time making them more efficient.

BMW excites me with its diverse product offering: from electrified BMW i products to trendy MINIs, to the most beautiful motorcycles on the market. Now that I am part of the company, I am happy that this product diversity and enthusiasm can also be found amongst my colleagues. It excites me being able to implement good ideas with creative minds, inspiring experts and energetic doers. In addition, it makes me aware of the versatility and diverse range of tasks at the BMW Group – boredom is averted by new challenges.

In my free time, I like to be outdoors and play tennis, go hiking or skiing – all when the sun shines and the weather is good. But if the thrill has to be higher, I am also happy to hit the Nürburgring with my BMW S1000R for a lap or two.

In addition to the cool products, the BMW Group inspires me above all in its versatility, varied challenges and strong corporate culture.
