The future is electric.
We are systematically gearing the BMW Group towards electromobility and making it future-proof. The high-voltage battery – a key component of electric vehicles – plays a decisive role in this, supplying the electric drive with electricity. In order to be even more strongly positioned in this field, our new plant for the production of high-voltage batteries is being built in Irlbach-Straßkirchen, which will then supply our plants in Dingolfing, Regensburg and Munich with batteries over short distances in the future. With around 1,600 highly qualified and attractive jobs, we are offering new prospects for Lower Bavaria here. In this way, we are not only securing jobs in the region, but also enabling talented people to start their careers as part of an apprenticeship.

Our battery production is highly automated and modernly equipped. But it doesn't run itself. To ensure that driving pleasure is produced in series, we need colleagues who are passionate about what they do. For the Irlbach-Straßkirchen plant, we are particularly looking for specialists in the areas of (electrical) maintenance, plant management and machine minding.
