Computer science has become essential in the age of digitisation. But modern IT systems need to be developed, built and ultimately monitored. As a dual degree student (f/m/x) in Computer Engineering at our partner university OTH Regensburg, not only do you get to know all the important areas of computer science, but you will also gain insights into electrical engineering. As a result, you will significantly shape the future of the BMW Group in two areas of innovation.

Training and study process
You will go through these programme elements.
1st year
Start of practical work experience.
- Start of practical work experience at BMW on 1 September
- Practical assignments in various areas of our company
2nd year
First and second semester.
- Now your studies begin!
- Your studies and practical placements will alternate. During the lecture period, you will be free to study. During the semester breaks, you will be doing practical placements at the company.
3rd year
Third and fourth semester.
- Similar procedure as in the first and second semesters
- Your studies and practical placements will alternate. During the lecture period, you will be free to study. During the semester breaks, you will be doing practical placements at the company.
4th year
Fifth and sixth semester.
5th Semester:
Practical semester, ~ 7 months of practical work experience at BMW
6th Semester: As usual, studies and practical placements alternate
5th year
Seventh semester.
- Bachelor's thesis at BMW
- Completion of your studies. You are ready to start your career!
