- A school-leaving certificate or an intermediate school-leaving certificate (Plant Eisenach: intermediate school-leaving certificate)
Apprenticeship duration
That's how long the apprenticeship lasts.
3,5 years with the possibility to shorten the apprenticeship duration in case of very good school and company performances.

What makes the job of a Machine Mechanic so special for me is the variety. Because everything is involved, from manual work to programming!
In the apprenticeship we learn about toolmaking and engine production. I have taken courses in turning, milling, drilling and filing and was able to get to know many different areas, which I particularly liked.
