You produce the heart of every BMW: our high-performance engines. In this varied job, you can live out your passion for technology every day and work with your team to ensure the perfect quality of our engines.

- Basics of important body and chassis components for the production of engines
- Expert knowledge in the processing and workmanship of metal as well as in shaping, melting and casting
- Operation of the high-tech systems, as well as their monitoring and repair
- Manufacture of high quality castings

I am a foundry mechanic because I wanted to learn something extraordinary. What excites me most is the casting process – it is my absolute favourite activity. During my apprenticeship, I am learning to take on projects independently and complete them successfully, while taking responsibility and making confident decisions. What I particularly appreciate is that I get to learn a lot of new things and work independently. In my view, this apprenticeship requires above all motivation and practical skills – or at least an interest in hands-on work.
