JOBS IN MAINTENANCE.
IT IS JUST GREAT WHEN HUMAN AND MACHINE GET ALONG SO WELL.
Production at the BMW Group is highly automated and equipped with the latest technology. But it does not run by itself. Only when the people behind the machines are passionate, driving pleasure can go into series production and take on the dynamic form that makes our vehicles so unique. Both, independently and as a team, they achieve extraordinary things day after day while contributing to making automotive dreams come true.
Our motivated colleagues from the various maintenance teams ensure the high quality of our processes along the entire value chain. They are responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection and optimization of all automatic systems in the respective production area. In order to successfully meet and exceed these special challenges in the future, we are constantly on the lookout for solution-oriented minds who want to set off with us into a new era of sustainable mobility.
Hear from our Maintenance team.
“The infinite opportunities of growth and development attracted me to a career as an Equipment Maintenance Technician. One of my greatest accomplishments was passing a 2-week Kuka robotics course.”
“I was drawn to the pride BMW has in their product and in their community. I wanted to be in an environment that supports and encourages growth. For me the most exciting project would have to be working with the team that creates the press curves as it is extremely complicated but very fulfilling when you see it working.”
“I was attracted to BMW because of relentless innovation. Plant 10 has grown exponentially and doesn’t seem to have plans of slowing down. I’m most excited about traveling to Germany and Europe to train abroad.”
“I studied mechatronics at Spartanburg Community College. I researched about being in the maintenance field at BMW and it piqued my interest that I would be able to use my knowledge from college to my full capability.”
“I was attracted to a career as an equipment maintenance technician because of the troubleshooting aspect and being the first one to respond to any situation. The most exciting accomplishment was getting to be a part of the AGV (Autonomous Ground Vehicle) Program.”
“The most exciting project I have worked on is when I coordinated the HLT project to soften pneumatic cylinder actuation to turn containers in our process. This saved equipment and reduced noise level.”
