QMT Specialist for Chemical Products for High Voltage Battery

Our department is responsible for quality management of the supplier network of high voltage battery components. You can expect a diverse and motivated team of experienced colleagues with a passion for process engineering and e-mobility.
What awaits you?
You will be responsible for quality and supplier management for chemical operational and process materials in the Americas. In this context, you will accompany the early phase, supplier selection, and industrialization for chemical semi-finished products from high voltage battery. You will develop solutions together with suppliers and BMW experts to tackle challenges in product and process maturity and assess the resulting risks during industrialization. You will monitor the quality performance of current series projects and ensure that sustainable problem-solving with suppliers is implemented through the identification of root causes of errors. In doing so, you will significantly contribute to the secure supply of our innovative products.
What should you bring along?
- BS degree in chemistry, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or production engineering equivalent of 4 years of professional quality process/chemicals experience in an automotive or process engineering environment.
- 6+ years of professional experience (5+ years with a Master's Degree) in the related processing.
- BMW Quality Computer Systems including QSYS, SPQM and SAP (preferred).
- Certified Quality Management (CQM) and Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) (preferred).
- Valid Drivers License and eligible to participate in the Vehicle Admin Program.
- 3+ years of knowledge in advanced quality planning techniques, including PFMEA, control planning, process flow diagramming, process auditing techniques, and PPAP. Substantial experience in industrialization and supplier management. Independent working style, focus, and speed in problem-solving.
- 3+ years of knowledge of advanced statistical techniques such as capability and standard deviation studies to calculate process variation.
- 5+ years of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePointetc.).
- 5+ years of communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
