Production Process and Quality Co-op (Fall 2026)

Description:

The purpose of the position is an introduction to a hybrid quality and process engineering position in automotive manufacturing.  This position will be a combination of small individual projects as well as shadowing current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers.

 

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Daily creation of 24-hour morning reports and continuous improvement of reporting.
  • Daily attendance in dimensional and quality follow-up meetings.
  • Shadowing current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers.
  • Concept, design and construction of ergonomic and process improvement tools.
  • Time studies for production process changes and feasibility reporting.

 

Qualifications: 

  • BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
  • Knowledge of quality tools preferred (PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), data analysis and statistical calculations)
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th – December 11th, 2026.
  • Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
