PLACEMENT PROGRAMMES.

We offer placements for third year students who want to increase their knowledge of technology, business processes and corporate culture. As a placement student you’ll have the chance to develop valuable teamwork skills, build up a network of professional contacts and gain insights into the different job areas within BMW Group. Our placements run for 6 to 12 months and require students to be on track to achieve a 2:2 or higher degree.

SPEED-UP PROGRAMME.

For outstanding placement students who are serious about developing their career, we can also offer the Speed-Up programme, which is available at selected sites. As a successful candidate, you’ll have access to dedicated training and a mentor, you’ll receive attractive financial support, and you’ll have the opportunity to come back to the business when you complete your studies.

WHERE YOU COULD WORK.

The UK is the only place in the world where our three brands – BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars – are represented by both business and manufacturing operations. You could join us at any of our manufacturing sites in Oxford, Hams Hall, Swindon, or Goodwood, or you could be based at our Farnborough offices, where we host the UK Sales and Marketing subsidiary of BMW AG, as well as Financial Services, Leasing and Fleet Management departments. We’re looking for driven students who can bring talent, fresh thinking and help us continue to thrive in one of the world’s most competitive industries.

Insights from our students.

Intern Heidi, standing in the production hall
My biggest highlights from the past 13 months have included travelling across the UK to different BMW Group sites. From Plant Oxford where MINIs are made, to the home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood, and the pressings plant at Swindon, as well as other smaller distribution sites.
Heidi
Intern Project & Energy Management
I enjoy working at the BMW Group because of the work culture. It’s always encouraged to be innovative and not to hold back any ideas you may have. Everything you have to say is important and taken into consideration, regardless of your role. This has consistently motivated me to become the best version of myself at work.
