Manager - Bodyshop Development
As the Bodyshop Development Manager, you will have primary responsibility to operationally manage the BMW UK/ IE Approved Bodyshop Programme via a Network of 130 BMW/MINI Approved Bodyshops. This will include implementing and supporting initiatives aimed at developing the BMW UK Bodyshop business overall and encouraging the Approved Bodyshop Network in order to support and accelerate Aftersales accident repair business performance whilst achieving the required Approved Bodyshop standards.
What awaits you?
- Anticipate and implement changes to existing programmes to ensure that BMW Group maximises the retention and profit opportunities from the available accident repair business
- Identification and implementation of market leading products and programmes that ensure Body Repair retention and conquest opportunities are maximised. (A-Call, PACC)
- Ensure commercial viability of such programmes within the business area continue to meet the requirements of BMW Group and ROI targets
- Implement and analyse the UK NSC Motor Insurance repair strategy, identifying areas for growth and improvement within the Aftersales area. Ensure that an appropriate platform of programmes are available and in line with the NSC’s, Insurance companies and Approved Bodyshops Network requirements
- Identify and continually improve growth areas to increase the number of BMW Group vehicle repairs that are carried out in the BMW Approved Bodyshop Network, Increase the usage of BMW ColorSystem wet and dry goods portfolio
- Continually improve and promote the Total Loss avoidance programme ‘Borderline’ within the Approved Bodyshop network and within the wider vehicle repair industry.
- Identify, implement and continually improve the Aftersales Motor Insurance vehicle repair retention strategy within the Retailer network, continued development of technology-based programmes such as A-Call and Proactive Care
- Ensure effective communication of Aftersales Bodyshop related messages, product communications & marketing initiatives through various communication channels, including those elsewhere in the NSC, e.g. MINI, Marketing, Product, etc..
What should you bring along?
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent Automotive experience / qualifications
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of automotive industry in general is necessary, and specifically an in depth understanding of the Motor Insurance and Accident management industries.
- Automotive commercial awareness, Aftersales and Retailer knowledge advantageous.
- Analytical and statistical competency, ability to draw insights from data.
- Competent negotiator and able to influence at all levels.
- High level of self-motivation, organisation, initiative and flexibility.
