Business Apprenticeships.

We’re industry leaders because of our attention to detail, and that includes the way we interact with customers and suppliers, both internally and externally. Our most successful Business Apprentices will have a passion for business, excellent communication skills, logical thinking and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Above all, you’ll need to be enthusiastic and well-disciplined, showing initiative and reliability, as you help steer our business into an even more sustainable future. You’ll study at college one day a week and receive support and guidance from advisors, finishing your Apprenticeship with a Foundation Degree in Business Management or a BA (Hons) in Business and Management Practice.

The most surprising thing about my apprenticeship is the high level of support I get from all my different placement managers along my apprenticeship journey.

After finishing my A Levels, I realised that full-time university wasn’t the right step for me yet. I wanted to keep learning while trying something completely new, which led me to apply for a degree apprenticeship at BMW Group in Farnborough. Working in a new environment was challenging at first, but learning unfamiliar processes and developing new skills is exactly what I was looking for. BMW Group also encourages us to use our individual strengths – for me, speaking Spanish and having the opportunity to travel to other European locations was a big motivation.

My apprenticeship has been a brilliant experience. I was quite shy at first, but working across different parts of the business helped me build new skills and confidence. Supportive mentors and managers encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and take on challenges I wouldn’t have before. Having a mentor in my team gave me a regular point of contact to discuss concerns, set clear goals and track my progress, ensuring I developed the right knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout the apprenticeship.
