As a Customs Specialist, at BMW Group Plant Debrecen you're a crucial part of our vision to revolutionize the way we think about cars.

What awaits you?

• Work Environment – you will be working at the Communication Center located within the BMW Group Plant Debrecen, in a modern, digitalized, open office-style environment, together with other office employees and your direct teammates. The Communication Center is a state-of-the-art office space equipped with kitchenettes, coffee stations, and ergonomic workstations, and also includes a company cafeteria.
• Team – as a member of our Customs Team you’ll be working in an international environtment. Locally the team consists of around 5 people, but you will be a member of the bigger finance organization of Plant Debrecen and also of the central team in Munich.
• Work experience– spearhead customs trade innovation initiatives, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
• Liason – collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.Data Analysis – Analyzing Big Data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in customs operations.
• Mentoship Program –  mentor and guide young professionals, leveraging their fresh perspectives and energy.
• Collaboration with unniversity – develop and maintain relationships with university partners to facilitate student internships and research collaborations.

What should you bring along?

• Education – degree in Economics, International Trade or related field, Law, Computer Science, a comparable degree, or comparable qualification. First customs and trade technical qualifications acquired in fulfilling day to day operational customs and trade tasks.
• Work schedule – you follow a standard single-shift schedule and manage your tasks independently.
• Knowledge– strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Hard skills– ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility and quickly acquire new knowledge to then apply it in practice.
• Soft skills– ability to present complex topics across hierarchies in a simple and understandable way. Courage to bring forward your own ideas.
• Language knowledge – excellent communication skills in English (German language skills are a plus).
