Tell us about your current role.

I am currently responsible for our newly created Strategy department where I together with my team manage the Future Sales Model, the transition into a new direct sales model. We are focusing on a variety of topics of the BMW Northern Europe strategy and relevant building blocks for moving forward. Those are for example CBS (Customer Brand Sales), Sustainability and Data quality.

What kind of career growth have you experienced since joining BMW Group?

In 2014 I joined BMW NE as an intern and after a few months I was offered the role as Dealer Network Specialist while simultaneously finishing my Master’s degree. Ever since I was given many opportunities to expand my skillset and personal competences through multiple roles, functions and departments. I worked for example within Volume Planning for the Baltic region, Brand Management as a Product Manager for Digital Services as well as within Customer Support heading the Strategy department.

The trust, confidence and possibilities to work and develop in various fields helped me shape my career and I can really say, I did not have a boring day since I joined.😊

How has BMW Group supported you to develop within your field?

The opportunity to work in so many different roles and departments gives me a holistic understanding of the business, I can see things from different angels which definitely is beneficial in my current role. Given that you are only as good as your team and network, I hope that having worked for all markets and cross functional makes me a bit more sensible to other people’s interests.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve worked on?

The transformation into the Future Sales Model is the biggest change the BMW Group has done it its 100 years of existence and it is really exciting to work with. Everything is new, it requires us to work even more as a team and little “unconventional” of how we as a group approach the project. It is extremely rewarding to be a part of such a journey and contribute to the bigger picture. To be able to work with so many different stakeholders and departments that are experts in their field is very insightful.

What stands out to you about the culture at BMW Group?

Besides the fact that I think we just have awesome people working for us, I really enjoy to work in our environment because we can have open dialogues, discuss and people are willing to help each other out.
