GET TO KNOW Kaname.

I was studying Law at university and one of my classes – Environment related Law – has eventually changed my life. I started my BMW career as a trainee taking care of vehicle recycling, which was highly conntected to my class. Since then, I have gone through various functions within BMW Japan: from (After)Sales Planning roles to BMW Product Marketing. After having spent over 15 years in automotive business, I recently found a new challenge in Motorrad where I am currently leading the entire business of BMW Motorrad Japan.

For me, BMW has also been the best car brand with a lot of good personal memories which was the primal reason for me to start dreaming of working at the BMW Group during my studies. After joining the BMW Group, I noticed that there is such a wide variety of career opportunities at BMW – not only task-wise but also location-wise – if you want. Even though I am currently no longer working for BMW automobiles, I can now enjoy the motorcycle business without having had to change the company, which is something that can only be experienced at a few globally operating companies.

I personally enjoy driving and riding BMW products in my private time or at work. Mobility is something I could just never miss in my life. I feel my life is more colourful by having exciting vehicles around: Spring and autumn are best for riding a motorcycle, while a BMW (automobile) is such reliable partner going up to the snow resort in winter.

Nevertheless, working at BMW is not always easy or I should rather say, it is often challenging, however I am perfectly confident that it offers you a lot as long as you enjoy the challenges.
