Mandatory internship.

Various work areas and deployment opportunities await you. You have the chance to deepen your acquired knowledge in professional practice. Depending on the curriculum, you will gain insights into commercial or technical departments as well as the company's catering during the summer months (June to September).

Important note: The confirmation from the school for the completion of a mandatory internship, including the specified internship duration, must be uploaded without exception as part of the online application. We can only process an application if the corresponding school confirmation is received in time!

Target group: Students from HTL (higher technical colleges) and vocational schools who must complete a mandatory internship as part of their curriculum.
Minimum age: 16 years (at the start of the internship).

Target group: Students from HAK and HLW and vocational schools who must complete a mandatory internship as part of their curriculum.
Minimum age: 16 years (at the start of the internship).

Target group: Students (at a higher vocational school with a focus on gastronomy, tourism or home economics, such as HLW or vocational schools) who have to complete a mandatory internship as part of their curriculum.

HTL Diploma.

We enable you to write your HTL (higher technical college) diploma thesis with a practical focus and offer you professional support. If you are interested, please feel free to send us an email: personal.steyr@bmw.com.

Target group: Students of the Higher Technical College (HTL) who have to write a diploma thesis as part of their curriculum.
Minimum age: 16 years.

Internship/holiday work.

What does it actually look like in a plant of the BMW Group? Get a glimpse behind the scenes of one of the largest industrial companies in Austria during the summer months (June to September). Gain insights into processes and workflows in the largest engine plant of the BMW Group and at the development site of the company as part of your internship/holiday work ("Ferialtätigkeit").

For the internship/holiday work, we offer you challenging and interesting activities directly in the assembly and production lines or in logistics. This way, you will be directly involved in the production of the "core components" of BMW and MINI automobiles.

Target groups: Pupils and students.
Minimum age: 18 years (when starting work).

If you would like to practically expand the knowledge you have acquired during your school education beyond the production lines, we offer you the opportunity to work in the commercial or technical employee sector.
