Insights from our colleagues.

“We have really great benefits – especially the flexible working hours with flexitime. And, of course, the ‘Miete Plus’ programme, which lets you drive BMWs and MINIs at especially attractive rates. Sometimes we even take short test drives during our lunch break.”

“I really value the openness here! I can ask questions at any time, whether I'm talking to a colleague or a manager. It is completely normal to present your own topics directly to the CEO.”

Our values.
We want every colleague to feel safe, comfortable and empowered to grow with us, and to have equal opportunities. That is why our culture is built on five core values that shape how we interact with one another and foster a unique team spirit.

OPENNESS.
We see opportunities and embrace change with courage. We learn and grow from our mistakes.

TRANSPARENCY.
We don't gloss over things and address contradictions constructively. We act with integrity.

RESPONSIBILITY.
We make consistent decisions and are personally responsible for them. This creates space for entrepreneurial thinking and action.

TRUST.
We rely on each other. That is the only way we can move quickly and achieve our goals.

APPRECIATION.
We reflect on ourselves and show each other respect. We give clear feedback and recognise achievements.
Sustainability.
In addition to many sustainability initiatives in which the BMW Group is involved both nationally and internationally, we are also a partner of the Sustainable Switzerland platform, an initiative by NZZ. The platform supports Switzerland's sustainable development and increases visibility through dialogue with strong partners from business and academia. We actively participate in this dialogue and promote the exchange of experiences in order to further develop the vision of a circular economy together.

Equal Opportunities.
We are convinced that a wide range of perspectives and talents strengthen our company. They contribute to increase our innovative power and competitiveness. We promote a respectful behaviour within the company. Discrimination in any form has no place at the BMW Group. Our goal is to create an environment in which all employees utilize their full potential to our joint success.
BMW Switzerland AG organises projects, such as our action week, during which various activities take place, including workshops, lectures, and social campaigns. We aim to demonstrate how different perspectives and backgrounds can contribute to the innovative strength and success of BMW Group Switzerland. Thanks to nationwide partnerships and employees from 12 nations speaking 15 languages, linguistic and cultural variety is reflected in our daily work environment.

Our commitment.
We take responsibility for society and the environment through sustainable, social, and intercultural engagement. Some of our activities include:
- Supporting numerous social institutions with donations, collaborating with foundations such as Vivendra (easter bunnies) in Dielsdorf and the St. Jakob Foundation (Grittibänz bread figures) in Zurich.
- Organizing team activities as part of 'Social Days' focused on environmental issues (Foundation for Environmental Engagement) or health (Pink Ribbon Charity Walk).
- A one-day paid 'Environmental Activity takes place twice a year.
- In collaboration with the Foundation for Environmental Engagement, we contribute to the Swiss natural and cultural landscape.
- Our 'Social Drive' platform provides our colleagues with a marketplace for social engagement. Those who wish to get involved can find numerous opportunities for volunteer work here. For example, some colleagues supported the maintenance of the wetland at the BirdLife Nature Center as a team event (see image left).
