We truly value the incredible contributions each and every one of our employees makes. That’s why we want to give something back with a comprehensive package of benefits and discounts. As part of the BMW family, you can look forward not only to a wide range of development opportunities and special offers, but also to diverse catering options and extensive health and wellness programmes. We also take individual needs into account – because the well-being of our people is close to our hearts!

Our benefits and perks.

What you can look forward to.

Financial Benefits.
Performance is rewarded at BMW Group. We offer our colleagues an attractive, market-competitive, and performance-oriented salary. Additionally, we provide appealing fringe benefits, such as a 13th-month salary where social benefits are fully covered by the employer. Our colleagues do not have to pay for parking, and those who drive an electric vehicle can charge for free on our premises.

Working Hours and Vacation.
- The working hours at BMW Group Switzerland amount to 41.5 hours per week. Our colleagues are entitled to at least five weeks of vacation per year (28 days after 10 years of service and 30 days after the age of 60).
- Of course, we also offer flexible working time models. Particularly, flexible hours and the option to work remotely allow you to balance your professional and private life. We also provide the opportunity to work part-time.
- Bridge days (the Friday after Ascension) are paid, and on December 24th and 31st, we only count half a working day.
- We also offer great options for expectant parents: for example, a maternity leave of 20 weeks with full salary continuation (depending on length of service) and paternity leave of 3 weeks with full salary continuation.

Health.
The health of our workforce is important to us. That’s why we have launched a number of initiatives to promote and support their physical and mental well-being:
- Ergonomic Workstations: Our investment in standing desks for all employees underscores our commitment to ergonomic workplaces. This measure helps prevent physical discomfort and promotes healthy posture while working.
- Paid Time Off for Doctor Visits: As part of our health management program, we offer our full-time employees paid time off for doctor visits. This is a clear indication that we take our employees' health seriously and provide them with the necessary time for medical check-ups.
- External Employee Assistance Program (EAP): The anonymous and free external employee assistance program is another component of our health initiatives. This service provides support in difficult life situations, both professionally and personally, and is available 24/7. It is an important part of our strategy to promote the mental health of our employees.
- Nature-Connected Location: Our location in a conservation area offers the opportunity to enjoy walks during lunch breaks. This natural environment promotes mental relaxation and serves as a valuable counterbalance to the workday.
- Speaker Sessions on Health Initiatives: Occasionally, we organize speaker sessions on health initiatives. These events provide valuable insights and information on various health topics and raise awareness of healthy lifestyles among our employees.
- Exclusive Discount on Fitpass: BMW employees receive an exclusive discount on Fitpass, allowing them to benefit from numerous fitness and wellness offerings that contribute to their physical fitness and overall well-being.
- Healthy Food and Beverages: We provide the option to access healthy food and beverages, which can be enjoyed during our communal lunch breaks in the cafeteria or outdoors. This promotes healthy eating and strengthens the sense of community among employees.
- Annual Voluntary BMW Fitness Challenge: The voluntary challenge offers you the opportunity to focus on physical and mental health for six weeks. There are various activities that earn points for the team (for example, points can also be earned through household chores).
Through these diverse initiatives, we aim to provide a comprehensive support network that covers all aspects of our employees' health and well-being. Our goal is to create a work environment that promotes both physical and mental health and supports our employees in reaching their full potential.

Pension Plan.
As the second pillar of our pension system, the pension fund ensures the maintenance of the accustomed standard of living in retirement. Our colleagues benefit from a supplementary pension fund. Additionally, it provides protection for survivors in the event of disability or death. The pension fund is financed through employee and employer contributions in a capital funding system.

Insurance.
As a special benefit, we offer our colleagues comprehensive daily sickness allowance insurance as well as private accident supplementary insurance worldwide. In the event of illness, our colleagues typically receive 100% salary continuation for a specified period.

BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad Special Conditions.
Colleagues of BMW Group Switzerland can look forward to the opportunity to purchase, finance, or lease BMW and MINI vehicles as well as BMW motorcycles at particularly attractive conditions. After completing the probationary period, our employees can enjoy the thrill of driving with these exclusive offers.
Additionally, you have the chance to participate in free test drives or purchase parts and accessories at a discounted rate.

Personal Development.
BMW Group Switzerland offers an academy for employees where they can participate in training at any time, whether internally, online, through in-person courses, or mentoring. This initiative promotes continuous education and development for employees, helping them advance in their careers.
