We are seeking to fill a co-op position in our Accounting Department located in Richmond Hill, ON for a period of 12 months starting in June 2025.
You will be responsible for a variety of daily accounting transactions and account reconciliations, some of which include the following:
- Preparation of bank and other general ledger account reconciliations related to the retail finance and insurance lines of business and investigation of reconciling items
- Involvement in the month-end close procedures
- Support in local and regional reporting requirements
- Assisting in special projects and research
- Involvement in external and internal audit engagements
- Ad-hoc requests
Qualifications:
- excellent verbal/written communication skills
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- We are looking for someone with high attention to detail, an enthusiastic attitude and a passion for learning.
- Any knowledge in the use of accounting software and Crystal Reporting would be an asset.
- Prior experience with preparing and analyzing account reconciliations would also be an advantage.
