Our Material Steering departments at the BMW Group order over 31 million parts daily to enable our 30+ production locations to build more than 2.5 million vehicles per year. We are revolutionizing our supply chain operations through cutting-edge machine learning and AI engineering, developing models for natural language to SQL conversion, voice-to-text transformation, automated code documentation, and supply chain risk assessment.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support collecting, preprocessing, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights that drive supply chain improvements.
  • Furthermore, you help design, implement, and validate machine learning models to predict supply chain trends, optimize logistics, and improve operational efficiency.
  • In addition, you contribute to developing algorithms and systems for automating reporting tasks, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
  • Moreover, you will assist in working with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, supply chain experts, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless integration of ML solutions.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (Master's degree).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with database management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
