We develop the AI platform enabling onboard reasoning, visual intelligence and agentic AI in current and next-gen BMW vehicles. What awaits you?

• As project lead you own components of our AI software platforms powering onboard intelligence, multimodality and agentic AI for state-of-the-art AI features in current and next-gen BMW vehicles.
• You drive the development of Edge AI toolchains that bring state-of-the-art AI models onto embedded hardware and NPUs.
• Partnering with experts across AI, embedded systems and vehicle software, you drive key technical decisions across the stack and deliver your project in quality, cost and time.
• You transform cutting-edge AI research into production-ready customer experiences.
• Through AI safety, governance and compliance by design, you help build trustworthy automotive AI.

What should you bring along?

• A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Proven experience in building and deploying production-grade AI systems, platforms or products at scale.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, multimodal AI, agentic systems, multi-agent architectures or computer vision.
• Hands-on experience with Edge AI, model optimisation and inference on hardware accelerators like Neural Processing Units (NPUs).
• Proficiency with modern AI deployment frameworks such as ONNX, ExecuTorch, TensorRT or similar technologies.
• Strong software engineering skills in Rust, C++, Kotlin or comparable programming languages.
• A proven track record of taking AI solutions from prototype to production in fast-paced engineering environments.
