Our team at the BMW Group is dedicated to advancing the next generation of power electronics for electric vehicles. We focus on model-based design and innovative simulation technologies, offering you the opportunity to support the development of the latest BMW electric driving modular architecture through your internship.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support preparing the HiL platform to run simulations from the PLECS simulation software.
  • Furthermore, you help adapt simulation models based on existing BMW models not yet supported by the HiL platform.
  • In addition, you contribute to connecting an embedded processor to the HiL platform for simulation model control.
  • Moreover, you will assist in identifying and implementing automation opportunities within the development process.
  • You also help improve current models and contribute to developing the latest electrical driving modular kit.
  • Furthermore, you will support collaboration with simulation teams across the architecture.
  • Additionally, you get involved in hardware and software aspects of the overall electrical driving modular kit development.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in power electronics and power conversion topologies or electrical circuits.
  • Experience with the simulation software PLECS.
  • Knowledge of power conversion topologies.
  • Experience in model-based design and HiL platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with version control and Python programming is a bonus.
  • Good command of English and German.
