Our team at the autonomous driving campus of BMW in Unterschleißheim (Munich) continuously develops cutting-edge functions for self-driving vehicles. The perception stack is a critical component in the complex pipeline from sensor to automatic vehicle response, and we are shaping the future of perception technologies.

What awaits you?

  • You will support the development and optimization of the data toolchain for training and validation of perception functions for autonomous driving.
  • Furthermore, you help with fast-prototyping of state-of-the-art perception methods applied to autonomous driving and development of back-end tools.
  • In addition, you contribute to learning and discovering the newest contributions in computer vision and machine learning.
  • Moreover, you will assist in developing own deep learning techniques applied to our large perception datasets.
  • Additionally, you help with testing and validation of methodologies before release in the BMW vehicle integration toolchain.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in engineering, computer science, physics, robotics or a related field.
  • First practical experience in software development with Python or comparable programming languages.
  • Understanding of machine learning methodologies, especially deep neural networks.
  • Basic understanding of sensor technologies for supervised learning approaches.
  • Strong background in computer science.
  • AWS knowledge is a plus.
  • Business fluent German or English skills.
