Our department at the BMW Group is responsible for implementing new technologies within a consistent digitization strategy for the BMW production system. The current focus is on developing AI agents in production environments, involving complex processes, various tasks, and massive datasets, including reasoning over processes, managing production knowledge, and systematic AI agent design.
What awaits you?
- You will support advanced research on agentic strategies with strong focus on knowledge management in production environments.
- Establish processes to introduce AI agents into complex production workflows.
- Contribute to the development of reliable and scalable AI agents.
- Define objective metrics for evaluating AI agent effectiveness and implementation of concepts in real use cases for assessment and benchmarking.
- Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend international conferences, publish results, and create collaborations with research partners.
- Furthermore, you support keeping the team and wider AI network informed about ongoing Generative AI initiatives, progress, and key learnings.
What should you bring along?
- An excellent master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, machine learning or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of deep learning and natural language processing.
- Strong practical experience in Python programming.
- Proficiency in modern software development.
- Experience in at least one common Open Source LLM framework like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Familiarity with public cloud architectures and services is a plus.
- Very good command of English and German language.
