We, the BMW Group, focus on passive safety for high-voltage batteries in electric vehicles. Our simulation experts develop and validate next-generation vehicles virtually. Join our interdisciplinary team of materials and simulation specialists and help ensure that our new electric vehicles meet the highest crash safety requirements.
What awaits you?
- You will support advanced material testing methods for high-voltage battery components.
- Furthermore, you help apply modern analysis methods such as computed tomography, digital volume correlation, and data analysis.
- In addition, you contribute to the design and setup of a CT-compatible test apparatus.
- Moreover, you assist with sensor integration and basic mechatronic aspects of the test setup.
- You will also support experiment-simulation correlation for improved material understanding.
- Additionally, you gain insights into high-voltage battery development in testing and simulation.
What should you bring along?
- Studies in mechanical engineering, materials science, mechatronics, physics, data science or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of mechatronic systems such as sensors, actuators, and signal chains is an advantage.
- Interest in experimental mechanics and simulation.
- Programming skills in Python or MATLAB.
- Hands-on mindset and motivation to explore new testing approaches.
- Very good English skills; proficiency in German is a plus.
