The BMW Group Future Mobility Development Centre will be located about two-and-a-half hours’ drive from the BMW Group’s main development site, the Research and Development Centre (FIZ), in Munich. At the planned development and testing facility, we will continue to advance ground-breaking topics, such as electrification, digitalisation and automated driving.

Life in Sokolov.
Sokolov lies in the hilly north-western corner of Bohemia near the border with Germany. Even if it does not appear so at first sight, it is a land full of beauty, variety, fine countryside and numerous historical and noteworthy sights. With implementation of the project, Sokolov city and the region will become a hub of the modern technologies.
Even though the Czech Republic is not a large country, it has a rich and eventful history which graced the land with hundreds of ancient castles, monasteries and stately mansions. The Czech Republic contains a vast amount of architectural treasure, as well as beautiful forests and mountains to match.
