Our team at the BMW Group Logistics Robotics is dedicated to shaping the logistics of the future for our production network. During your internship, you will help us simulate and optimize innovative logistics processes and systems.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support building and optimizing the simulation of an automated logistics system.
  • Furthermore, you help to understand current manual logistics processes and gather relevant data.
  • In addition, you assist in designing the automated logistics system.
  • Moreover, you will help to conduct site visits in the factory for data collection.
  • You will support extracting system KPIs and drawing conclusions for system design.
  • Furthermore, you help to prepare presentations with insights from the simulation.
  • In addition, you integrate feedback from the team into the simulation.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, operations research or any science or engineering degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience with supply chain or logistics system simulation tools such as Plant Simulation or Visual Components.
  • Very good Python skills; C++ knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to present actionable simulation results in MS PowerPoint.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to support in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
  • Good English skills; German is a plus.
