In Brazil, the company began its activities in 1995 and, over these almost three decades, it has built a solid relationship with its Brazilian customers, progressively expanding its operations and strengthening itself in the national segment of premium imported vehicles.

With its customers’ “Pure Driving Pleasure” as its motto, BMW Group Brasil today offers a wide variety of products in the country, within the three brands, and always sells the latest releases from its global line-up locally. The model has an administrative office in São Paulo and two factories in Brazil: in Manaus (AM), for motorcycles, and in Araquari (SC), for automobiles.

BMW Group Plant Araquari.

The company began production of its first South American automobile factory, installed in the city of Araquari (SC), in September 2014. Currently, the models BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X4 and BMW 3 Series are produced in the city of Santa Catarina for the national market. With a total area of 1.5 million square meters, the Araquari Plant is the largest premium vehicle factory in South America, where the most modern and technological cars in Brazil are manufactured. The local infrastructure includes assembly, bodywork and welding activities, painting systems and logistics, as well as administrative and auxiliary buildings. This makes our factory unique and makes it possible to follow the entire production process, from the arrival of parts to the dispatch of the finished vehicle. Furthermore, in line with BMW Group Brazil's strategy focused on sustainability, the Social and Recreation Center is located next to the factory. Here the social project "Geração BMW" is carried out. The place serves young people from the community with free professional training after school.

BMW Group Plant in Manaus

Starting its activities in Manaus in 2009 through a partnership signed with a company from the industrial hub of Manaus (AM), BMW Motorrad inaugurated the production of premium motorcycles in Brazil. In 2016, the group celebrated the expansion of motorcycle production with the official start of operation of the new BMW Group factory in Manaus (AM) - the first 100% BMW Group-owned unit to manufacture motorcycles outside of Germany. The first model to be produced at the new factory in Manaus was the BMW F 700 GS. Built on an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, the factory took around 9 months to complete and has state-of-the-art equipment, as well as a team of highly trained employees capable of guaranteeing the same levels of premium quality found in other units of the BMW Group. With an initial capacity of 10,000 motorcycles per year, the Manaus factory produces the C 400 X, R 1250 GS Adventure, S 1000 RR, G 310 GS, and the F 750 GS, amongst others.

In 1999, the BMW Group Financial Services was created in this country, with the main objective of facilitating the purchase of BMW products (cars and motorcycles) and MINI. BMW Group Financial Services offers financing, insurance and consortium solutions so that customers can secure and protect their vehicles. One of the company's examples of success was the launch of the BMW Select, Sign & Go and MINI 4U plans, which offer an installment value up to 59% lower than traditional financing and come with a dealer buyback guarantee.
