As a Maintenance Technician with Robotics focus at BMW Group Plant Debrecen, you will play a key role in ensuring that the robotic production lines operate optimally. Through preventive maintenance, you’ll eliminate potential issues before they arise.

What awaits you? 

• High-tech work environment–  You will work with state-of-the-art automated production equipment, with a strong focus on KUKA robotic systems and other advanced automation technologies. 

• Team – As part of a team of 5-7 members, you’ll participate in executing maintenance tasks. 

• Troubleshooting – you’ll handle breakdowns, ensuring rapid restart of production equipment after unexpected downtime, and preventing future stoppages. 

• Collaboration – You will work closely with production team leaders, process technicians, automation specialists, and other maintenance colleagues to solve technical issues and continuously improve production processes. 

• Robotics-focused maintenance – you’ll perform maintenance tasks, optimize production equipment, PLC programs and robots to prevent technical failures that could halt production. 

• Continuous development - You will have the opportunity to deepen your robotics expertise, learn new technologies, and expand your knowledge in industrial automation and robot programming. 

What should you bring along? 

• Education – A secondary-level qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or mechatronics. General technical understanding of industrial equipment, automation systems, and maintenance processes. 

• Work experience – Hands-on experience with industrial robots, ideally KUKA systems, or knowledge of FANUC, ABB or other robotic platforms is an advantage, but not a requirement. Basic robot programming knowledge and familiarity with robot control systems are advantageous (relevant robotics certifications, especially KUKA training or certification programs is a plus). 

• Work schedule – willingness to work in rotating 3 shifts. 

• Language skills – native Hungarian speaker; additional English language skill is appreciated, but not a requirement. 

• Accuracy and sense of responsibility – attentive to detail, able to analyze problems systematically, and able to work responsibly both independently and in a team. 

• Communication and attitude – you have strong communication skills, you are open-minded and motivated to further develop your robotics expertise within the team and continuously learn new technologies. 

• Teamwork – able to work in a team and open to continuous self-improvement. 

• Problem solving and situation analysis – able to remain calm even when working at a fast pace, and calmly analyze and solve any problematic situation.
