SEN. SPEC. CREDIT RISK
BMW FINANCIAL SERVICES
As a Senior Specialist Credit Risk, you will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and communicating credit risks across the retail finance portfolio. You will support the development of risk strategies, portfolio monitoring, credit decision systems, and risk reserve methodologies while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Working closely with New Business, Collections, Sales, Finance, and external partners, you will contribute to the optimization of portfolio performance and risk-adjusted growth.
WHAT AWAITS YOU?
- Monitor and analyze credit risk performance across the retail finance portfolio and identify emerging risk trends.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual risk reports, forecasts, and portfolio analyses for local and regional stakeholders.
- Develop analytical insights to explain variations in key credit risk indicators and portfolio performance.
- Support the implementation and validation of credit risk reserves under IFRS 9 methodologies.
- Analyze and validate risk parameters including scorecards, provisioning models, risk cost assumptions, and credit policies.
- Support continuous improvement of automated credit decision systems through testing, monitoring, and analysis.
- Participate in projects related to credit origination, portfolio management, collections strategies, and contract termination processes.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG?
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance or a related.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in Credit Risk, Risk Management, Financial Analysis, or related areas.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience building statistical, predictive, or financial models using large datasets.
- Knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Advanced Excel skills for modeling, reporting, and analysis.
- Understanding of credit risk methodologies, scorecards, provisioning models, and portfolio analytics.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as IFRS 9 and Basel standards is desirable.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English proficiency.
