Spring 2027 – Summer 2027 Full-Time Internship – Woodcliff Lake, NJ
March 8, 2027 – September 3, 2027
WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Support BMW’s Digital Retail platform development and rollout, contributing to feature discussions, requirements, testing, and post-launch evaluation to improve the online-to-dealership buying journey.
- Analyze customer behavior and Digital Retail KPIs (conversion, engagement, lead generation) to evaluate feature effectiveness and identify friction points or drop-offs.
- Assist the Granular Performance Management team with dealer-level data analysis, KPI tracking, and identification of performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Build and maintain performance reports and dashboards, automate recurring reports, and translate complex data into clear, management-ready insights and visualizations.
- Collect, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources to support reporting, presentations, and stakeholder discussions across Digital Retail, Sales Ops, field teams, and dealers.
- Research customer expectations, eCommerce trends, and competitive/technology landscapes to bring fresh perspectives and inform future platform improvements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
- US Work Authorization required.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
- Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
- Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
- Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.
- Prior BMW Group experience.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- Field of Study: Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Automotive Management, or a related field.
- Business fluent English.
- Preferences:
- Strong analytical mindset combined with an interest in customers, digital products, and technology.
- Genuine curiosity about how digital experiences can simplify and improve the way customers shop for and purchase vehicles.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Interest in data automation and process improvement; experience with tools such as Power Query, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or similar technologies.
- Ability to organize and analyze large datasets and identify meaningful trends.Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to translate analytical findings into clear and concise business insights.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional project teams.
- Interest in the automotive industry, digital customer experiences, eCommerce, dealership operations, and data-driven performance management.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This is a hybrid role that requires in office days.
Undergraduate students: Hourly rate is $25.30.
Graduate students: Hourly rate is $32.20.
The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
