Manager Incident & Investigation Management

The Regional Security Office PA-S-AP protects people, places and intangible assets, including information, across its geographical and organisational scope. The role holder is the principal regional governance lead for security incident management and investigations across the region with a particular focus on crime-related matters, works closely with regional stakeholders and designated central-functions across all Corporate Security fields of action to strengthen capability, preparedness, response and recovery.

What awaits you?

• Act as the principal regional lead for security-related investigations and associated governance across Regional Corporate Security Sub Office (RSO), with a particular focus on crime-related matters. Support the Regional Security Manager and Heads of RSO sub-regions in the conduct of sensitive investigations.
• Support the RSO, in alignment with the relevant Cooperation Agreements by cascading investigation- and incident-management governance requirements to BMW locations.
• Support business functions and Plants in conducting investigations. Ensure that investigative activities, documentation and communications comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and established BMW Corporate Security standards.
• Manage the full incident lifecycle, including incident capture, triage, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, security risk-management adjustments, lessons learned and quantitative and qualitative trend analysis. Maximise the effective use of Corporate Security Incident Management (CSIM) tools and systems.
• Lead the correct use of, and training for, the CORSICA NEXT CSIM system and manage system compliance across the Regional Corporate Security Sub Office.
• Perform the role of security country champion in collaboration with local security coordinators and, where required, information-protection delegates.
• Support audit activities, with particular attention to information-protection requirements, compliance aspects (AC) and internal audit (AZ). Help identify proportionate measures and resources to address opportunities for improvement and non-conformities, and support business functions in preparing for audits covering incident management and broader security risk-management topics.
• Cooperate proactively with Group Security investigations specialists, exchanging expertise, requirements and lessons learned.
• Be prepared to travel extensively across the Regional Corporate Security Sub Office region and work outside normal business hours when operationally required. Support the region's multi-role and country-champion models by undertaking additional core security responsibilities.

What should you bring along?

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in security management, criminal justice, law, risk management, intelligence studies, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in corporate security, investigations, intelligence, law enforcement, compliance, risk management, or a related field.
• Ongoing professional development in investigations, incident management, interview techniques, evidence handling, and related disciplines.
• Formal investigative training through law enforcement, military, government, or corporate investigations programmes is a strong advantage.
• Professional certifications in investigations, fraud examination, security, crisis management, intelligence analysis, or risk management are highly desirable. Specialist certifications such as ISO 27001, ISO 31000, ISO 18788, ASIS CPP/PSP, and NEBOSH are advantageous, while broader project, quality, or digital certifications are beneficial.
• Proven experience leading complex investigations into security incidents, fraud, misconduct, theft, workplace violence, corruption, information leakage, and other business integrity matters.
• Demonstrated expertise managing the full incident and investigation lifecycle, including reporting, assessment, evidence collection, root cause analysis, resolution, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• Experience operating across multiple countries and jurisdictions, with a strong understanding of legal, regulatory, privacy, compliance, and evidence-handling requirements.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional investigations involving Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Information Security, business functions, and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, government authorities, insurers, external counsel, and specialist providers.
• Experience developing, implementing, and continuously improving incident management, investigations, governance, reporting frameworks, escalation protocols, and organisational response capabilities.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members while contributing to the growth of investigative and incident response capability within a multinational environment, including high-risk or complex operating markets.
• Strong capability in investigations, incident management, and security risk management, including assessing security, operational, reputational, and business risks and translating strategic requirements into practical regional processes and governance improvements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to prepare senior-level briefings, investigation reports, management updates, and trusted advice for executive leadership.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, discretion, intercultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and business acumen, with the ability to build trusted relationships and manage highly sensitive and confidential matters.
• Strong analytical and digital capabilities, including proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, investigations and case-management platforms, data-led reporting, intelligence analysis, AI-enabled productivity tools, KPI monitoring, and trend analysis; English proficiency at CEFR C1 level or above, with additional regional languages advantageous.
