Each year we offer internship opportunities and are keen to hear from you if you are currently studying an undergraduate degree and looking to complete a 12.5-month placement.

 

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood - Powertrain, Chassis and Electronics, Validation and Integration – Placement Year (July 2027)

 

We are responsible for the integration, validation and analysis of electrical, electronic, powertrain and chassis technical content as well as the planning and realisation of the complete production testing and commissioning process. We work hands-on with prototype and series products featuring the latest industry technology including E-drive and autonomous driver systems. Our team is seeking two placement students to join from July 2027.

What awaits you?

 

  • Support, coordination and management of specific daily tasks.
  • Learning automotive diagnostics and electronic systems working directly on prototype vehicles.
  • Support complex technical analysis.
  • Monitoring, understanding and reporting production test system result data to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver a personal project with direct relevance to product/process improvement. 

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a relevant Engineering course.
  • PC literate with the ability to learn new systems and applications.
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0.
  • Automotive experience is useful but not essential.
