Sr. Specialist, Material Plan

Major tasks are to direct, lead, control, and coordinate day to day activities on production and non-production material planning to have timely supply of materials for effective logistics to continue production smoothly. Furthermore, to plan, document, control and manage production activities to ensure the materials supply according to the production plan.

What awaits you?

• Ensure materials and consumable (both chemical and non-chemical) readiness for production plan and special purposes.
• Analyze production plan and turn into MRP plan to ensure materials and shipment schedules meet the production plan.
• Maintain materials master data (MM modules) to achieve technical changes management and bill of materials.
• Maintain MRP parameters for effective schedule lines and maximize stock level and buffer for business needed.
• Monitor and follow up all upcoming sea/air shipments upon ETA schedule and confirm delivery plan to BPM's external warehouse.
• Confirm call-off plan to local suppliers and control returnable packages with suppliers.
• Schedule trucks with service providers for picking up local suppliers materials.
• Daily analyze stock on hand for planning replenishment to fulfil BPM inventory. 
• Update monthly requirements and long-term forecast with local and ASEAN suppliers.
• Coordinate with BMW AG suppliers to keep materials and shipment status up to date.
• Provide materials master data and relevant information to import-export teams to align thr correctness.
• Perform buy & sales processes with import-export teams and external suppliers.
• Perform bailment processes with internal and external suppliers to support production. 
• Coordinate with production, customs teams, and external suppliers. Provide document (TRF) for customs processes and create PR/PO. 
• Analyze variance parts usage and set reorder point and stock level.
• Analyze consumables (chemical and non-chemical) usage and set reorder point aligned with stock level.
• Consider and create special purchase order (SPO) by air shipment from BMW AG and ASEAN suppliers appropriately.
• Create PR/PO for indirect expenses (air and sea freight/local transportation/external warehouse).
• Create PR/PO for ordering consumables (chemical and non-chemical).
• Plan and order consumables materials for supporting logistics and production requirements.
• Identify and monitor non-moving inventory (consumable materials) to maintain effective inventory.
• Regularly coordinate with program planning relates to production plans to ensure availability of materials.
• Prepare monthly reports for all related departments such as customs, controllers, and so on.
• Weekly monitor pending schedule lines and SPO aging with BMW AG suppliers to dispatch to overseas ports.
• Create X2 claim from materials control discrepancy reports (MCDR) that occurred by logistics. (part missing or packaging issues).

What should you bring along?

• 5 years experiences in logistics and supply chain as materials steering/planning from an automotive or related industries.
• Business knowledge (sales, production, and distribution, overseas transportation).
• Understand material requirements planning (MRP) and bill of materials (BOM) are mandatory.
• Be able to use ERP such as SAP is a plus.
• Good at presentation skills and tools.
• Data analysis skills and tools as Power BI is a plus.
• Self problem-solving is a must.
• TOEIC at least 550 or English communication at business level is acceptable.
• Knowledge in logistics, transportation, import-export, supply chain.
