Marketing Brand Communications - Placement Year

YOUR INTERNSHIP STARTS WITH WHAT ENGAGES YOU.

We believe in creating an environment where our interns really can learn by doing during their time with us and where they are given their own areas of responsibilities from the start. That’s why our experts treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.

This could include helping to manage timelines, preparing updates, coordinating inputs from different teams and supporting the delivery of campaign materials.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Brand Communications team, wider BMW UK departments, agency partners and other stakeholders, giving you the chance to build a strong professional network and understand how different teams contribute to marketing delivery.
  • Assist with the communication and amplification of experiential activity, working with teams such as Brand Experience, Press and Internal Communications to help bring brand moments to life across different channels.
  • Get involved in a varied, hands-on placement where your curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learn will help you make the most of the opportunity.

What should you bring along?

  • Studying towards a Bachelors degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • Fully competent in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar are essential, as is a high level of attention to detail.
  • A can-do attitude with the desire to go above and beyond.
  • An ability to utilise initiative and present suggestions and justifications, solving problems as they arise.
  • A creative personal flair with the ability to provide open-minded solutions within tasks.

What do you need to do now?

If you apply, the next stages of the recruiting process include a virtual assessment centre and an in-person interview with the hiring manager.
