What awaits you?
- Reports to Director Accounting, Tax & Customs
- Manages all tax related topics for the BMW Group Canadian operations and subsidiaries including, Corporate Income Taxes, Indirect Taxes, Transfer Pricing, Pillar 2, and Employer Tax Compliance for both divisions - BMW NSC and BMW FS.
- Leads the Internal Control Systems compliance team.
- Oversees and works closely with various departments regarding tax related topics
- Provides input to leadership team on strategic direction, planning and risk management of taxation.
- Assists with managing customs compliance.
- Involved with Accounting month-end and year-end tasks, including account reconciliations, tax provisions, reporting requirements and external auditors.
- Acts as the primary tax representative with Canadian tax authorities, external auditors, and tax consultants.
- Implements and manages tax processes, internal controls, audit readiness, compliance systems, and associate tax awareness training. Manages transfer pricing, EBIT margins, including vehicle costing analysis and pricing.
- Key tax contact for internal departments, retailers, external consultants, auditors, and BMW AG.
- Leads the tax team, sets priorities, coaches team members, and develops tax planning strategies that optimize tax position while mitigating risk.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in Accounting / Tax/ Business Administration
- Masters of Taxation or CPA In-depth tax course
- 5 years’ tax experience with large professional services firm or multinational company

Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $77,000 - $116,500 with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
