IT Operation & Cloud Engineer

As IT Ops & Cloud Engineer at BMW Financial Services Scandinavia you will join a dynamic and international team of IT specialists, IT architects and system analysts, being responsible for a variety of local applications and technical solutions to support the Northern European sales organization of the BMW Group.

Organizationally you are a part of the local IT team, responsible for providing IT solutions to support business processes in Nordic markets.

What awaits you?

• Maintain and monitor cloud environments (AWS) for reliability, scalability, security and cost efficiency.
• Design and implement infrastructure as code, automation and site reliability engineering practices to improve deployment speed and resilience.
• Manage incident response, disaster recovery and lead continuous improvements.
• Oversee cloud security, patch management, access controls and compliance with BMW standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize architectures, enable cloud-native patterns, and standardize tooling.
• Develop and maintain architecture artifacts, governance processes, and performance metrics with clear success criteria and KPIs.

What should you bring along?

• 3 to 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus of IT infrastructure mgmt. and system administration.
• You have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent field of study and/or relevant professional background and practical experience.
• You have gained practical experience in coding / scripting in an DevOps and agile environment.
• You possess practical experience with cloud environments and have a track record participating in cloud migration projects.
• You are a structured and results oriented person and show the ability to self-lead and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, processes and infrastructure (cloud and on-prem).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an international environment.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
