We are currently looking for a Senior GL Accounting Specialist  to join our Finance team in Debrecen. In this position you will be responsible for performing General Ledger accounting with focus on Inventory-related transactions in accordance with the global guidelines and local legislation.

  • Work environment – you will be working at the Communication Center located within the BMW Group Plant Debrecen, in a modern, digitalized, open office-style environment, together with other office employees and your direct teammates. The Communication Center is a state-of-the-art office space equipped with kitchenettes, coffee stations, and ergonomic workstations, and also includes a company cafeteria
  • Team - You will be a member of team, that consists of 5-7 financial specialists.
  • Active participation in month-end closing accounting cycle - Ensuring compliant postings of IA, CoS and other GL topics.
  • Forecast planning - Performing and driving forecast planning in close cooperation with inventory-related business departments.
  • Digitalization of processes - Active participation in digitalization of processes / reports, developing simple applications.
  • Cross-functional collaboration - Proactive cross-functional collaboration across the plant with the inventory-related business departments.
  • Close cooperation with international teams, headquarters and auditors.

  

What should you bring along?

  • Educational Background - University degree in Economics and Chartered Accountant Certification and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar job field from an international company (manufacturing environment would be an advantage).
  • Work schedule - You are willing to work on-site at least 4 days a week during regular business hours.
  • Language skills - Fluent English and Hungarian, both written and spoken, German language would be an advantage.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant Hungarian Accounting legislation. Certification in IFRS Accounting is a plus. Experience in inventory accounting with manufacturing companies is advantageous.
  • IT Skills: Confident user of ERP systems (preferably SAP FI module; S/4HANA knowledge is an advantage), MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Soft skills - Strong communication skills, along with independent, reliable, and result-oriented way of working.
