Join BMW Group Canada in a one-year placement as our Corporate Communications Intern. You’re proactive, organized under pressure, and a natural communicator who builds strong relationships. In this role, you’ll drive positive media coverage for our operations, products and brands; protect and enhance our corporate reputation; and showcase BMW Group as an attractive, responsible business to investors, influencers and the public. You’ll also support your colleagues across Canada in understanding our global strategy, brand priorities and key initiatives - gaining hands-on experience in strategic communications at a leading global company while doing so.
What awaits you?
- Supporting several internal communications assets, ranging from executive and town hall meetings to corporate news summaries and associate newsletters.
- Managing and maintaining various online databases and preparing reports (media monitoring systems and related reporting, press websites).
- Preparing market fact sheets and corporate backgrounders with board-level exposure.
- Assisting with the national press fleet (vehicle delivery and communication with media).
- Creating and implementing Corporate Communications initiatives and events with executive involvement.
- Working and communicating across departments, divisions and function levels.
What should you bring along?
- A background in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or Communications.
- Superior written and oral communication skills. French language skills are an asset.
- A proficiency in basic data analytics and experience with preparing reports.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Openness, motivation and the commitment to getting tasks done on deadline.
- An interest in the automotive industry.
- A valid driver’s license. The ability to drive a manual transmission is beneficial.

Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $47,000 - $49,000, with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
