Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Liaison Engineering Graduate– 2 Year Graduate Programme (September 2027)
Join our two-year Graduate Programme, based within the Liaison Engineering, Bespoke Release and Operational Excellence teams. We are looking for someone with the ambition to take a broad, strategic view of how a world-class automotive business operates; someone who sees the connections between people, processes, data, and technology, and is driven to make them work better.
You will work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and digital innovation, contributing to live projects and taking on real responsibility from day one. We want someone who actively seeks out new ideas and emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence and its practical application — and who is willing to ideate, test, fail, learn, and iterate in the pursuit of step change improvements. If you are energised by the challenge of overcoming obstacles, shaping new ways of working, and delivering meaningful impact across a globally renowned business, this is the role for you.
With the opportunity for multiple business placements within the wider BMW Group — potentially internationally — this programme is designed to fast-track ambitious, forward-thinking graduates into influential careers at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
What awaits you?
Support the management of engineering topics across the department, contributing to root-cause analysis, containment actions, and the implementation of robust solutions in collaboration with teams across Plant Goodwood and Munich Engineering.
Participate in cross-functional problem-solving activities using structured methodologies, bringing creative and technology-driven approaches to both technical and operational challenges.
Contribute to the management and integrity of engineering data, Bills of Materials, and release processes, helping to ensure accuracy and compliance across Bespoke and Series environments.
Identify, develop, and support the delivery of digital tools and business process automation solutions — including the exploration and practical application of AI — to drive operational efficiency and step change improvements across the department.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, logistics, purchasing, and IT to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, effective solutions.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including process guides, system specifications, and training materials, supporting a right-first-time and knowledge-sharing culture.
Actively seek out new technologies, methodologies, and ways of working; test new approaches, learn from failure, and champion innovation within the team and wider business.
Participate in business placements within the wider BMW Group, to broaden your strategic perspective and accelerate your professional development.
Build a professional network across Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Quality, and central BMW Group functions, initiating connections that drive knowledge sharing and unlock new opportunities.
Contribute to the development and deployment of team and departmental strategy, bringing fresh thinking and a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do.
