As a key member of the National Sales Operations Team, the Senior Specialist, Volume Planning, is primarily responsible for optimizing inventories and model-mix across BMW Group Canada’s retailer network.

This role develops and executes the yearly national BMW & MINI retail / wholesale budgets at the Series, Retailer, and Monthly level.

Strong analytical and communication skills are the main assets to succeed in this role.

 

What awaits you?

  • Act as a primary point of contact on all Retailer inventory-related issues including under/over stock
  • Assist with short-range volume planning, including the development of monthly forecasts and input into the IVP system.
  • Calculate various vehicle allocation methods and effectively communicate both internally and externally
  • Analyze Retailer inventories and production pipelines to maximize wholesale and retail sales within BMW AG and BMW Group Canada planning objectives
  • Assist Retailers with model-mix and vehicle specifications to align with market demand
  • Prepare Retailer budget and coordinate between regional and national sales management
  • Provide market input to National Sales on future volume production requirements
  • Assist with AG vehicle ordering process within AG software systems.
  • Continually analyze inventory-related processes and effectively design and propose adjustments/enhancements to the national sales team when required
  • Assist in creating reports related to inventory analysis for the regions as required
  • Act as a Business Project Leader for IS Projects as required.

 

What should you bring along?

 

  • University Degree in Business or Commerce
  • Strong background in automotive operations, either at a Retailer or manufacturer level
  • Very strong analytical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and Retailer personnel in high stress situations
  • 5 years of similar production or allocation experience in a high volume production environment

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is $62,500 - $90,600, with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
