BMW Group Financial Services is offering a well-rounded internship with the focus on realizing data-based sales performance that permeates from headquarter down to each single sales outlet within Canada. This role is a part of an interdisciplinary team with a start-up mentality to innovate within a traditional automotive OEM for premium cars.
What awaits you?
- Working in an interdisciplinary team of sales, marketing, finance, and IT experts, willing to share knowledge and expertise with you.
- Gather data from multiple sources; document and catalog into a central repository for analytical and AI / ML use cases.
- Supporting the setup of KPI-oriented / data-based reports and analysis for all levels of management and enhance digital transformation of BMW Group Financial Services.
- Processing raw data into analysis‑ready formats and performing exploratory and statistical analyses to support business, modeling, and/or dashboarding requirements.
- Driving automation of reports and ensuring availability of accurate data in dashboards.
- Working in partnership with Data Scientists in developing predictive analytics use cases.
- Collaborating within Agile Working Model and processes such as Scrum, Kanban using JIRA platform.
What should you bring along?
- Current student or recent graduate in Data Science, Data Analytics or a comparable course of studies.
- Relevant analytics and/or BI related working experience is preferred.
- Coding experience in data processing, aggregation (R, Python).
- Practical experience across the AI/ML lifecycle, including data cleanup, feature selection, model development, parameter tuning, testing, and validation.
- Exposure to process automation, including identifying manual or repetitive workflows and supporting the design or implementation of automated solutions.
- Strong knowledge in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, with the ability to evaluate datasets and business requirements to support appropriate AI / Machine Learning model selection.
- Knowledge in transactional & analytical data structure and SQL.
- Knowledge in data visualization programs like Tableau.
- Analytical thinking and first knowledge in analyzing and visualizing data.
- Fast learner and willingness to work with various data related topics.
- Teamwork and communication skills.

Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $47,000 - $49,000, with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
