Software Engineer Co-Op (Fall 2026)

Description:
- Be part of a fast-moving software development team focused on solving problems with large data sets in a full stack environment.
- An ideal candidate is someone intrinsically motivated to learn technical skills and process knowledge of how car bodies are manufactured.
- This position will use analytical and problem-solving skills to develop software solutions to improve the team’s processes which in turn support the production of our product.
- The team is currently working with machine learning to perform improved data warehousing for the purpose of preparing for future models.
- The Body Shop Central group is responsible for developing training and maintaining KPI’s for all the body associates for series and new model production. Central group is responsible for all level 2 and 3 support of the production areas for additional guidance and support.
- Work with a mentor to design, develop, test, and implement software solutions to customers.
- Cross functional collaboration with customers and development team.
- Think critically about problems on technical solutions.
- Professional development in project management, full stack development, process organization, presentation skills, experience working as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Full-Time Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Understanding of Object-oriented programming.
- Experience in relevant programming languages is preferred but not required: C#, SQL, Python, or HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th – December 11th, 2026.
- Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
