Transportation Management Domestic Intern (Fall 2026)

We connect the network with integrated supply chain solutions to safeguard production. Ensuring parts supply at the right time, right place, quantity and quality for continuous production. The Focus of our department is Material Control, Transportation Control and Delivery Assurance. We are the Gatekeepers of the supply chain for the ultimate driving machine.

 The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions: 

  • Support department in all Transportation Projects (Operational, Contract Management, Returnable Container Steering, Reporting Sea- and Air freight)
  • Troubleshoot upstream process partner errors that impact department’s performance
  • Conducts data processing in SAP, SQL, Power BI, i.e. running weekly and daily reports (may include data mining, creating and maintaining visualization tools, etc.)
  • Assist JIT/JIS and SCM Project Leads
  • Facilitate weekly Transportation team meeting
  • Ensure training documents and department website are up to date
  • Smart Container Management, KPI Dashboards, Data Analytics and Visualization, Sustainability (Reduction of CO2 emissions, e.g. E-Trucks), Continuous Improvement Projects, Digitalization Projects, Value Stream Mapping, Part Defect Reduction, Digitalization of Shipments, Robotic Process Automation
  • PowerBi
  • Machine Learning
  • Programming Languages (VBA, RPA/UIPath, Python, SQL, etc.)
  • Other duties assigned by management

Qualifications: 

 

  • Majors: Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • SAP basics
  • Independent & detail-oriented work
  • Organized
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Quick comprehension skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Potential to gain German language skills
  • Cultural awareness

  • Lean six sigma methods
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE: August 10th – December 11th, 2026.
