Battery Manufacturing Equipment Planning International Intern (Fall 2026)

Support in planning and realization of manufacturing and production equipment for a next-gen battery production line.
The Qualified Intern Should Expect to Contribute and Improve in the Following Functions:- Supports with project evaluations by identifying/capturing gaps, dependencies, resources, risk, and financial impacts.
- Coordinates, procures, implements, and/or provides technical support for new equipment installation and investment projects (new model, structure, and plant small projects).
- Supports contractor activities in engineering, installation, commissioning, documentation, and sign-off of new equipment projects.
- Conducts cost estimates (invest, budget), technical specifications, and requests for quotes.
- Supports with maintaining project cost targets and budget forecasts.
- Collaborates with medium/large projects and/or self-initiates projects for continuous improvement relating to structure and/or process.
- Supports battery plant targets and goals: production, quality, safety, cost, associate, and citizenship.
- Obtains and shares best practice solutions within the BMW Group network.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Communication and facilitation skills.
- Strength in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Technical background (e.g., mechanical or electrical engineering) preferable.
- MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale.
- Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
- Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- Work terms dates are from September 21, 2026, to March 5, 2027.
