As Senior Business Controller for the Polish market, you will take a leading role in steering financial performance for the BMW and MINI brands within one of the key markets in the Central and Southeastern European region.  

You will act as a trusted partner to local management and Regional Headquarters, ensuring transparency, financial discipline, and forward-looking performance management. The role combines strategic perspective with operational depth and offers strong visibility within the local and regional organization.

You will belong to the international Controlling team mostly located in Salzburg (Regional Headquarter) while your main office location is in Warsaw at the BMW Group National Sales Company. Due to a cross-border team set-up you will be working in a matrix structure having the disciplinary Line Manger in Salzburg and an In-company Manager in Warsaw.

What awaits you? 

• Acting as senior finance business partner to the local management team for the BMW and MINI brands in Poland. 

• Challenging management on business activities and ensuring that informed, data driven, decisions are made to maximize profitability. 

• Preparing and presenting financial analyses and performance reports to local management and Regional Headquarters. 

• Supporting and steering the month-end closing process related to contribution margin and cost of retail, in cooperation with Accounting and RHQ, including ownership of provisions. 

• Analyze various financial KPIs at month end closing and present the outcome and your recommendations to local management and RHQ. 

• Analyzing sales campaigns and incentive schemes from a financial and performance perspective. 

• Ensure timely and accurate bonus and sales allowance payments to the BMW dealer network. 

What should you bring along?  

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable field (Master’s degree preferred). 

• Several years (7-10 yrs) of professional experience in Finance or Controlling, ideally within an international automotive (or similar sector) organization.

• Strong analytical mindset, able to assimilate complex information in a fast-paced environment. 

• Effective communicator and relationship builder with the ability to deliver commercial and operational messages while influencing stakeholders from across the business. 

• A flexible approach, being adaptable to changing situations and a good team player. 

• Advanced MS Excel & MS Copilot skills; experience with SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tableau or comparable BI tools is an advantage. Affinity for digitalization and openness to new technologies, including generative and agentic AI. 

• Fluency in English; Polish and/or German language skills are beneficial.
