Description:
Join a fast-paced software team tackling large datasets in a full-stack setting. Ideal candidates are eager to learn technical skills and gain knowledge about car body manufacturing. This role uses analytical and problem-solving abilities to create software solutions that enhance team processes and support product production. Currently, the team leverages machine learning for improved data warehousing in preparation for future models.
The Body Shop Metrology group ensures dimensionally accurate bodies for both series and new model production. The team manages product quality through internal processes and collaboration with production teams.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Work with a mentor to design, develop, test, and implement software solutions to customers.
- Cross functional collaboration with customers and development team.
- Think critically about problems on technical solutions.
- Professional development in project management, full stack development, process organization, presentation skills, knowledge of agile methodology, experience working as part of a team.
- Fulfill customer digitization requests
- Make process improvements to existing metrology software
Qualifications:
- Full-Time Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Understanding of Object-oriented programming.
- Experience in relevant programming languages is preferred but not required: C#, SQL, Python, or HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Possess a minimum cumulativeGPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- THE WORK TERM DATES ARE AUGUST 10th – DECEMBER 11th, 2026.
