As a Technology Steering  Specialist at BMW Group Plant Debrecen you're a crucial part of our vision to revolutionize the way we think about cars.

 

What awaits you?

  • Technology steering in production operations – you ensure stable production according to the production program by aligning capacities, production sequences, and daily operations with all relevant process partners, while monitoring production flow and system performance.
  • End-to-end resource and capacity steering – you provide full transparency and actively steer direct headcount, capacity planning, and resource allocation, including the continuous development of steering processes and tools.
  • KPI coordination & target management – you will be coordinating key performance indicators in assembly (e.g. time per unit, hours per vehicle, production volume, headcount) and actively steering the target management process to ensure goal achievement.
  • Cross-functional coordination & representation – you act as the central link between the technology and plant/central functions (production, planning, HR, controlling, quality, EHS), representing the technology in all relevant committees and decision forums.
  • Data-driven production steering & forecasting – you analyze, simulate, and forecast production-relevant figures, derive scenarios and countermeasures, and regularly replan to ensure performance under changing conditions.
  • Team environment – you will be part of a motivated, supportive, and collaborative team of specialists working in a dynamic automotive production environment. You will be the main interface with process partners like Headquater, HR, Controlling and Planning.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Educational background – you have a degree in Economics or Industrial Engineering or similar profession.
  • Professional experience – you gained 3+ years of work experience in production management or controlling or planning or similar.
  • Work schedule – you are willing to work on-site during regular business hours. Remote work may be considered based on alignment with your line manager.
  • Mindset & adaptability – you bring a high degree of flexibility, motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility, enabling you to thrive in a dynamic production environment.
  • Analytical thinking & work style – you demonstrate a comprehensive way of thinking and an independent, structured working style.
  • IT affinity – you have solid knowledge of common IT systems and the ability to work confidently with digital tools.
  • Language skills –  you speak English fluently; Hungarian and German language skills are an advantage.
