As a Mechatronics Apprentice Trainer, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of technical experts. You will lead the Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program, ensuring students gain the skills needed for a successful career in automation, robotics, and electronic systems.

  • Lead and continuously improve the Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program.
  • Ensure alignment with BMW global training standards and local operational requirements.
  • Integrate new technologies, learning methods, and industry best practices.
  • Deliver expert‑level training in Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, Controls, and Robotics.
  • Develop instructional materials, hands‑on exercises, and assessments.
  • Facilitate practical workshops and guide apprentices in problem‑solving and system diagnostics.
  • Manage the full apprentice lifecycle: onboarding, rotations, evaluations, mentoring, and job placement.
  • Track performance, attendance, and discipline while promoting a high‑performance learning culture.
  • Support apprentices through regular coaching to build confidence and technical mastery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with technical schools, universities, educational authorities, and BMW stakeholders.
  • Ensure legal compliance and alignment with academic standards.
  • Represent BMW at events related to technical education and workforce development.
  • Oversee training facilities, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure adherence to BMW’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) requirements.
  • Support upgrades and maintenance of training technology and tools.

 

What You Should Bring?

 

We are looking for a technical mentor who combines deep engineering knowledge with the passion to inspire, motivate, and develop future experts.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of industrial electricity and electronics.
  • Advanced experience in: Pneumatics, Automation control systems and Robotics (programming, maintenance, troubleshooting).
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical role, ideally within manufacturing, industrial automation, or maintenance.
  • Proven experience delivering training, coaching, or technical instruction.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured learning modules.
  • Leadership mindset, adaptability, and a high level of organization.
  • Commitment to BMW’s values of quality, discipline, and continuous improvement.
