We are looking for an in-house Legal Counsel to support our team at BMW Plant Debrecen.

What awaits you?

• Work environment – you will be working at the Communication Center located within the BMW Group Plant Debrecen, in a modern, digitalized, open office-style environment, together with other office employees and your direct teammates. The Communication Center is a state-of-the-art office space equipped with kitchenettes, coffee stations, and ergonomic workstations, and also includes a company cafeteria.
• Team – as a member of our Legal Team you’ll be working in an international environment. Locally, the team consists of around 3 people, but you will be a member of the bigger legal organization of Plant Debrecen.
• Negotation, legal support - Handling complex negotiations with third parties while enforcing BMW Group rights and interests. Providing legal protection and risk management especially with regard to contract management.
• Legal research - Conducting professional legal research required for existing and new business operations.
• Drafting contracts - Reviewing and drafting contracts and internal policies and ensuring that they are in compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
• Liaising with management - Advising the managing directors on corporate governance and all regulatory and corporate matters.
• Cooperation with departments - Cooperating with relevant departments/functions regarding legal developments in Hungarian law and supporting them in the implementation of new legal requirements.
• Reporting - Providing and maintaining reports and legal information and conducting training for employees.

What should you bring along?

• Educational background - University degree in law (Doctor of Law), successfully passed bar exam is a must have, additional master’s degree is an advantage.
• Work experience - 3-5 years of experience in the national legal environment; international experience and experience in national labor law is an advantage.
• Contract handling - Very good knowledge of and experience with, contract drafting and negotiation.
• Skills and abilities- Ability to prioritize and multitask, particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Attitude - Hard-working and enthusiastic approach to work.
• Language skills - Native language Hungarian; business-fluent in English.
