Workshop Controller
BMW Group Park Lane are looking for a Workshop Controller. This role is based at BMW Park Royal
This role is responsible for managing and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the workshop by managing workflow, supervising technicians, and maintaining high standards of service and repair. Be a key link between service advisors, technicians, and customers, ensuring that all work is completed on time, to the required quality, and in line with health and safety and manufacturer standards.

- Ensure agreed processes are managed and maintained for customers and staff.
- Maximising opportunities and customer expectations in accordance with our working charter.
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill and availability, ensuring optimal productivity and timely completion.
- Monitor and audit work to ensure repairs meet manufacturer and DVSA standards.
- Liaise with service advisors to keep customers informed about progress, delays, and costs.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate technicians and apprentices to meet performance targets.
- Ensure correct parts are ordered and available for scheduled work.
- Maintain workshop compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies.
- Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of technician time, job cards, and service documentation.
- Drive workshop efficiency and contribute to dealership profitability through effective resource management.
What should you bring along?
- Competent level in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
- Up to date mechanical and technical competence preferred – Minimum standard would be Level 3 IMI Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician
- Previous experience Customer Handling, preferably in the Motor Industry.
- Leadership Experience
Details
- 45 Hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 6 pm with 1 hour lunch.
- Saturday working (as per rota) – 1 in 4, paid as overtime.
- 25 Days annual leave, plus bank holidays
